Gill Harris and Steve Wright who are not only Panther Fans but also organised the event send their Thanks to all of the Supporters Club Members who contributed their support through the Supporters Club Sponsorship.
Thank you to Eric Marchant the official photographer who has kindly provided this photo.

The supporters club presented all the players with honorary membership into the best supporters club in the land at the open training session. Each player was given their badge.
The supporters club also presented the Panthers with a cheque to continue to sponsor the home team bench for the 2008/09 season. Panthers Captain Danny Meyers accepted the cheque on the clubs behalf.
The evening with Mick Holland and Chris Ellis took place at Stadium Lesiure on Tuesday 24th June.
There was a good turnout of members who enjoyed a couple of mini-quizzes, a buffet and the main event with Mick and Chris.
The guys shared some great insights into all things Panthers past, present and future. Some great stories were discussed with the audience and they were invited to offer their memories on times gone by. There was a Q&A session which took place in which some very interesting questions were answered.
Thanks to all who turned out and we look forward to the next members event in the off season.
The NPSC AGM took place at Stadium Leisure on Tuesday 20th May 2008. It was well attended with 50 or so members turned out to get updated on Supporters Club affairs, not least appointing new committee members. We do have a new look committee and this will be announced soon, when positions within the Supporters Club has been decided for each committee member.
We are still looking for anybody who feels they can help out as a co-op committee member so if you think you can help out on match nights, events and away games then get in touch at the usual email addresses.
Neil Black & Corey Neilson attended and took part in a Q&A session with the Supporters Club members. The Challenge Cup was also on show for people to take pictures with if they wished. All in all it was a great night and more events should take place over the summer to make it go just that little bit quicker.
Thank you to everyone who brought presents for the children in hospital, there were over 120 gifts handed in and these will make a big difference to their time in hospital. The presents were split between the
The QMC presents were delivered on Tuesday 18th December so all of the presents handed in at the game on Sunday 16th December have been included.
There were quite a few very young children and they, as well as their parents, were excited about the Panthers visiting and were also very grateful and appreciative. We have potentially even converted a 14 year old Steeler fan – or ex-Steeler fan should I say!!
Thank you to Claire Hardy at the
Firstly, similar to the year before, Danny fell in love with one of the children, 20 month old Lilly, and spent the visit carrying her around with us, much to Lilly’s delight!
It was also our pleasure to put the smiles on the faces of 4 year old Corey, 2 year old Daniel, 3 year old Dillon, 1 year old Tyler and teenagers Megan and Bradley. We hope they all get better soon and thank them for spending time with us.

On Tuesday 22nd May the NPSC has their annual AGM. It was a great night and there was a great turnout from fans. Around five times as many fans were in attendance, compared to previous seasons. They were rewarded for the trip because the Play Off trophy was kindly lent to the NPSC by the Panthers so fans could get up close and personal and have their photograph taken with it.
At the AGM, the committee talked about last season and how successful the NPSC has been. There has been huge growth with membership numbers rising. The NPSC want to continue this trend by working even more closely with the team to make the members and players as integrated as possible. There are a number of events planned for next season, the first of which will be a summer BBQ. Details will shortly be announced about this even so keep checking the website for updates.
As well as Panthers fans, Mike Ellis, Gary Moran and Neil Black were also in attendance. They took the floor to answer fans questions in a Q&A session. Questions ranged from refereeing, fixtures and the Continental Cup. Honest and fair answers were given which seemed to breed confidence going forward. ‘Win not spin’ appeared to be ringing true.
Mike also covered the topic of pre-season training in Morzine. Mike is hoping to put together a travel and accommodation package for us the fans as a thank you for last season’s support. Mike will supply the NPSC with details of the event and package details within the next two weeks. Details will hit the website and we can then start to take bookings.
Congratulations go to Carol Large and Craig Dickenson who were voted onto the NPSC committee and will take the place of Sally and Ali. The NPSC would like to wish Carol and Craig luck in their new roles and would also like to thank Sally and Ali for their hard work. It will be nice for them to enjoy a game from start to finish and not have to tend the counter! Carol’s and Craig’s job will be given to them at the next committee meeting in the next few weeks. The Who’s who section will be updated to reflect those changes.

Mike Coulton was also in contention for the committee but unfortunately didn’t receive enough votes to make it on in an official capacity. However the Supporters Club will need assistance through the season for various tasks and events and have asked Mike to help out where he can. Mike has agreed and will assist us as and when needed though will not have a committee role.
Mike Coulton
Finally, the NPSC would like to thank all it’s members for a great 2006/2007 season. Without you, the fans, the Supporters Club would not be here. Here is to another great season ahead with the Panthers, let’s make 2007/2008 even better than last year.
On Friday night (2nd March), it was Danny Meyers Birthday. The NPSC was proud to present him with a birthday cake on behalf of the committee and the members, just after he also won the Player of the Month award for February.
All in all, it was a good night for our young defenceman. Hope you had a good one Danny. Thanks to Sue and Mike Colton who donated the birthday cake to the Supporters Club to present to him.
